This Privacy Policy explains how the WooCommerce Product Scraper & CSV Exporter Chrome extension handles information when you use the extension.

1. Extension Purpose

The extension helps users export publicly accessible WooCommerce product data, native product variations, categories and collections from a user-selected WooCommerce website into CSV files.

2. Information Handled by the Extension

  • Website content: publicly accessible WooCommerce catalog information from the website selected by the user, such as product names, descriptions, SKUs, categories, image URLs, prices, stock information, attributes, variations and category details.
  • License information: a Gumroad license key entered by the user when activating the optional Pro version.
  • Purchase verification information: when Gumroad verifies a license, Gumroad may return the purchase email address, order number and license eligibility status. These values may be stored locally in the browser to maintain Pro activation status.
  • Local usage information: the number of free top-level product exports used by the browser profile.

3. How Information Is Used

The extension uses information only to provide its user-facing functionality:

  • to detect whether the active tab is a compatible WooCommerce store;
  • to retrieve publicly accessible WooCommerce catalog information after the user requests an export;
  • to create and download CSV files locally in the user's browser;
  • to track the free product-export allowance locally;
  • to verify an optional Pro license through Gumroad and maintain local activation status.

4. Local Processing and Storage

Exported WooCommerce catalog data is processed locally in the browser and downloaded as a CSV file. The extension does not send exported catalog data to the developer's server.

The free export counter and Pro activation record are stored locally using Chrome extension storage. The Pro activation record may include the Gumroad license key, verified purchase email address, order number, product identifier and verification timestamp.

5. Information Shared With Third Parties

  • Selected WooCommerce website: the browser sends requests to the public WooCommerce Store API endpoints of the website selected by the user to retrieve catalog information.
  • Gumroad: when the user chooses to activate or revalidate a Pro license, the extension sends the Gumroad product identifier and license key to Gumroad's license-verification API. Gumroad may return the associated purchase email address, order number and license eligibility status.

The developer does not sell user data and does not transfer user data to advertising platforms, data brokers or information resellers.

6. Browsing Activity

The extension does not collect, store, sell or transmit a user's browsing history. It checks the active tab only to provide the user-requested WooCommerce export functionality.

7. Remote Code

The extension does not download or execute remote JavaScript or WebAssembly code. All executable code is included in the extension package. Network requests retrieve data only.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

Local extension data remains in the browser until the user clears the extension's stored data or uninstalls the extension. Downloaded CSV files remain on the user's device until the user deletes them.

9. Limited Use Disclosure

Information handled by the extension is used only to provide or improve the extension's single purpose and user-facing features. It is not used for personalized advertising, creditworthiness decisions or unrelated purposes.

10. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when the extension's functionality or data-handling practices change. The effective date will be updated when revisions are published.
